SPARE A THOUGHT.....

At the end of winning a rat race, we are still a rat.

crowding people....

sometimes in our anxiety, we crowd people...all of us need our space and we resent intrusions...while knowing this, we still overindulge our concerns and jeopardise our relationships with those whom we care about.Sad, but true. but can we see through the intrusion and perceive genuinity of concern.I always regret it when i snap at my mom if she is over-indulgent.We put up with so many things in our lives but sacrifice our courtesies with those whom we genuinely care about. It is easy to be nice to strangers but extremely difficult with those around us.Paradoxical?

we tend to view the road blocks in our lives as inhibitors or life-stoppers.Can we rather view them as switches, triggers that cataylse our evolution in consciousness....Perceptions energize our lives...

Playback..

if we dont like a movie, we change the dvd/cd. We dont change the screen or the television. does not make logical sense. However, when unpleasant things occur in our universes , we want to change only the external factors. Does it make sense.Should we not look into where the playback is really emerging from?

Gratefulness....

Because everybody is creating a space for you to be transformed -- even those who think they are obstructing you, even those whom you think are enemies. Your friends, your enemies, good people and bad people, favorable circumstances, unfavorable circumstances -- all together they are creating the context in which you can be transformed and become a buddha. Be grateful to all.

Spirituality lies in attitude, not in activity/s.

source of thoughts....

Thoughts flow through you and not from you. You are not the originator for the thoughts. Hence, your thoughts are not your thoughts. You just are tuned in to them in the realm of the universal mind. To identify with them ;condemn oneself, feel guilty, feel proud , feel frustrated etc is hence unintelligent. One is a process within a process, dynamic every moment of the way.

love and joy

Love and Joy cannot be experienced in the realms of the mind. The mind and its' contents are "incapable" of love and joy. Liberation from the mind is enlightenment.
Love and joy are projected ideals for most of us. We "try" to "love" when we are intrinsically incapable of the same.It is quite horrific. It is a concept of love we are trying to fit in. Just recognising our incapacities and helplenessness in our current states of being is enough to liberate us. However, we tend to act unnaturally and mask ourselves. Integrity of self-recognition without condemnation or guilt is the key to liberation. We need the other's need of us. To us that is love; being indispensable for the other. To feel secure , we fall into a trap of keeping up our utility value in the other's life. We want to feel "needed".
Else, we feel "threatened" in relationships.
Love and Joy are intrinsic qualities of realms beyond the mind. They just flow like a river, flooding all in their wake. One does not have to "try". One just "is".

thoughts-the creator

All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make our world.

Dussehra-the irony

Dussehra - a celebration of the victory of good over evil..a festival of immense hope..but what really happens...it has become a mere ritual..the spirit of celebration is distinctly missing from the human psyche.Horror stories of dead ritual with a lot of unwilling participants abound. One of my relatives has to wake up at unearthly hours and go through untold hardships to bow to the needs of dead ritual thrust upon her by an elder. Such stories abound. Makes me wonder; how many of us "know" our Gods...knowing as different from believing....for the vast majority, they are yet another concept borrowed from tradition.Knowing is different from believing. We hide behind convenient concepts without ever trying to explore the realities behind them. Some of these concepts are very intelligent and beautiful. That is a matter of personal perspective. A lot of us chose to abuse and put up with abuse in the name of dead ritual and habit. Some of us though chose to abide in a spirit of love for our dear ones for whom it may have a lot of meaning. That is fine.It happens in awareness and is a gesture in compassion. Jai Mata Di!!!!!

personal debugging....

Understanding a problem is more often than not the key to its solution. It has been my observance that more people end up barking up the wrong tree when it comes to resolving and addressing acute personal issues. There is a discernible failure of intelligence in the process, even if the people in question are high achievers in their chosen fields of endeavour. And when we seek solutions at the wrong place, the problems remain unsolved.
when we do a software debug, we do a lateral as well as backstep analysis involving user levels codes, assembly codes, machine codes , hardware configurations and so on.As we take the backward steps to address issues, there is a full stop when it comes to Silicon and Germanium as switching devices. They have certain attributes which are a given, kinda sacred which can only be used/manipulated to suit our conveniences. The basic attributes are sacrosant.
I wonder why we dont use the same mechanisms to life...look inward and see the basic stimuli and catalysts to event manifests in our lives. We focus only outward....and look at reasons why certain things happened or did not happen...
My personal explores in inner realms have led me to the conclusion that our outer universe manifests are reflections of our inner worlds. And setting right of issues inside play a critical role in healings outside.
A couple of women were chatting by the window pane. One of them, the owner of the house was remarking on a lady drying clothes on the lawn of a neighbouring house. She was mentioning that the clothes seemed still so soiled and dirty and was quite critical of the same.It was then that her friend reminded her that the dust was on her window pane and not in the clothes.
So it is with life..we seek to change the world when all change is essential within ourselves.
