from my inbox.....a repost
According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's probably shouldn't have survived.
Our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paint, which was promptly chewed and licked.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on doors or cabinets and it was fine to play with pans.
When we rode our bikes, we wore no helmets, just flip flops and fluorescent clackers' on our wheels.
As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the passenger seat was a treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle - tasted the same.
We ate dripping sandwiches, bread and butter pudding and drank fizzy pop with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing.
We shared one drink with four friends, from one bottle or can and no-one actually died from this.
We would spend hours building go-carts out of scraps and then went top speed down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into stinging nettles a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We could leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us all day and no one minded.
We did not have Playstations or X-Boxes, no video games at all. No 99 channels on TV, no videotape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet chat rooms.
We had friends - we went outside and found them.
We played elastics and street rounders, and sometimes that ball really hurt.
We fell out of trees, got cut and broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits. They were accidents. We learnt not to do the same thing again.
We had fights, punched each other hard and got black and blue - we learned to get over it.
We walked to friend's homes.
We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and ate live stuff, and although we were told it would happen, we did not have very many eyes out, nor did the live stuff live inside us forever.
We rode bikes in packs of 7 and wore our coats by only the hood.
Our actions were our own. Consequences were expected. The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law. Imagine that!
This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned to deal with it all. And you're one of them. Congratulations!

conflicts, competition and aggression....
was recently watching the build up to a popular singing or should i say , performance competition programme...it left me speechless with all its outflow of negativity...superficial pats on the back, crocodile tears and so much more....are the judgtes competent as people handlers, i wonder...so much injury to psyches, so much hurting and abrasion in the air in the cause of personal egos....
dont know whether these things are fixed to enhance trps, but they appear very inhuman and insensitive on cursory glance.....commerce is a great driver and demands a lot of sacrifices....but sometimes, the costs can be too high...

tag notes...
have been tagged by nyneisha( a very creative expressor in words, visuals etc)....so here goes...
seven or more things I want to do:
- get a new computer asap..lost mine during the 26/7 deluge in Mumbai.
- finish a celebrity house build event successfully in Nov....am an event consultant and helping reconstruct about 1000 houses for the flood affected at Mahad through innovative event concepts for an NGO.
- create a win win feedline for the BPO sector in India through the setting up of a creative customer service training centre for the differently abled......the networking and allied works are underway.
- manifest more wealth energy for myself....resource crunches can be very limiting.
- sustain and build on existing friends...enrich myself with more friendships.
- spend more quality time with my mom.
- change the paradigm of events and celebrity management....am one of the pioneers in that space in India and do not feel very fulfilled creatively and professionally...
- identify and work with a venture fundee/s who tunes in to my perspectives...ideas are many but to give them legs is a dream.....
- improve fitness levels
Some things i wanna weed out...
- procrastination
- unconscious mechanizations of my activity sphere.
- indifference to wealth energy creation.
- dead wood legacies in consciousness.
- dwelling too long in non-starters and failures.
- tendencies to defend my life perspectives....
- improper or adhoc personal prioritizations.
Words I use frequently:
- integrity
- authenticity
- unconditional
- wow
- perspective
- amma
- personal space
- personal choice
- seeing
fellow bloggers i wish to tag( dont know most of u personally; just as fellow bloggers); seems a fun exercise; a request to join in, not a command....
- gaizabonts - atul
- leave it unsaid - arundhati
- evolving everyday - sophie
- let the cut begin - poonam
- visual essays - sushma
- polioman - poonam arundhati combo
- step down - anuva
...in shared space as fellow humans, take care..have a gr8 festive season....

why do i blog.....
mainly it stems from a compulsive urge to write, sometimes. the recent Mumbai deluge saw me lose my computer amongst other things. i was a ground floor resident, then. and with it, a lot of my writings for myself....as usual, i had not transferred it to cds.....
there is a thrill in flowing out......as one watches invisible thought energy create its designs through words on the screen. an awesome process emerging from deep recesses of being.how many processes are involved in this transfer...mind boggling....and we take it for granted!!!
unmatched in processing speeds......yet...
the human as a process .... just watching it creates awe for life...
that was a high level interrupt , it seems..never saw the process with so much awe and astonishment before...
some of you chose to read it.....and then sometimes we tune in.....
amazing......the links....in consciousness.....
sometimes a response, a connect......
releasing a thought in the universe....a miracle of existence....a domain of unlimited potentials....probably a seedling for morphogenetic manifests....
a tiny pebble idly tossed
into the placid stream
with gentle splash it sinks from sight
and never again is seen
but outward from that central splash
the spreading ripples tend
who knows on what distant shores
the spreading impulse ends...........
(not mine......from the bank of consciousness....have posted it earlier)

All of us know of Kekule and his mystical dream ( the inter-twined snakes) which led to the discovery of organic chemistry . A very fascinating alter-insight into processes of "intelligence" and its expresses is provided by the book, "The Man Who knew Infinity" , a biography of the mathematical genius, Srinivas Ramanujam.
Happy Dussehra!!!!!!!!!and wishes for the awakening of intelligence as different from knowledge all around...

The Oneness University...
My understanding is thus....
Concepts abound in the universe. As many people, so many concepts. Some may appeal to us, some don't....
We naturally find a comfort zone in different concepts, dependant on so many parameters.
For me, the difference is in the ability to really experience and to be alive to our truths.
For me , The Oneness University has facilitated this.
It has opened my eyes to the fact that real "experiencing" is our natural state of being. And enabled my journey towards the ability to "experience" in realms beyond my conditioned mind.
i dont think i am still "there" all the time. But I have had moments of rare insights and "experience", very mystical. No judgements, no labels, just pure , unadulterated "experience".
And my observations around the university have shown the vast diversity of ideas and concepts..different emergences...but a common thread, of integrity and oneness...an acceptance of the fact that someone can have a total divergence of view and yet be right from his "perspective". When we see everything as a concept, dependent on assumptions and frame of reference, paradoxes rest at peace.

rituals...
A few months back, when I was enjoying "impediments" or blocks in key functional areas of my life, I just decided to give it a try. Inspite of my best efforts, an unseen wall used to block progress in key areas of my life.
